SABINA EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

At Battisti we know what a real product of Italy is. Our extra virgin olive oil range is entirely grown and cold press in Italy from 100% Italian olives. Our grower's land is located in the Sabine Hills, a small area touching Lazio, Abruzzo and Umbria regions blessed by unique climatic conditions: clay and limestone soil, altitudes ranging from 200 to 500 metres above sea level, a temperate Mediterranean climate, characterized by the absence of temperature peaks or drought.

In such a superb habitat, our farmers grow, harvest and cold press a unique olive blend that includes a rare ancient variety locally grown from olive trees that have been there for up to 600 years. Some of those olive trees where already in our growers' land before America was even discovered. A journey that started in the Renaissance to just end up on your table.

The olive oil from Sabina is the first Italian Protected Designation of origin (PDO) oil to gain certification from the European Community. A frieze that certifies the excellence of the millennial skills of the Sabines.
